Brian Bourke, designer of Evanstonopoly

"The Evanstonopoly game was a great success in our family. My grandsons played for hours over the weekend. They were excited to find familiar places on the board such as the YWCA, where they swim, EAC where their parents exercise and, of course, Northwestern University. Ethan was tickled to play with a Subaru, a family car, and Torin chose the Evanston Lighthouse as his marker. Evanstonopoly is a fun twist on a familiar and well loved game. Kudos to those who brought it to us."

Lia Potter wins the jelly bean contest at the Custer Street Fair! More than 100 people tried to guess the number of jelly beans in the jar, with entries ranging from 104 to 33,000.  Lia's guess was 1618, (her birthday is June 18th) and the correct number was 1639.

Congratulations to Lia and her dog Suni! They won two gift certificates: one to Lulu's Restaurant, and one to Taco Diablo, both in downtown Evanston.
