First Night’s 25th New Year’s Eve Virtual Variety Show
Take a front row seat, in the comfort of your home, for a New Year’s Eve Virtual Variety Show with blues and harmonica legend Corky Siegel as master of ceremonies. This all-ages extravaganza marks First Night’s 25th anniversary, and offers something for everyone with performances by outstanding artists from Chicagoland and beyond, featuring:
Alvy Ray Smith, Billy Branch, Blair Thomas with Michael Smith, Chamber Blues, Chihsuan Yang, Corky Siegel, Dorothy Scott, Ernie Watts, Howard Levy, John Primer, Last Word Quintet, Lynne Jordan, Phil Bimstein, Sones de México, Sons of the Never Wrong, Toronzo Cannon, Wayne Baker Brooks, and Will Tilson
From Bluegrass to Classic Rock, Folk to Blues, Latin to Pop, and Soul to Roots, this special concert is hosted by First Night Evanston. It is made possible thanks to contributions from you and local businesses and organizations in order to support the artist and our organization.
Reservations are free, but a suggested contribution of $35 (or more!) will help us fund this blockbuster lineup of iconic performers and ensure that this special 25th anniversary of First Night is the biggest one yet. With over two hours of musical adventure, “First Night’s 25th New Year’s Eve” musical event will be livestreamed from 9:45 pm CT to just after midnight on December 31, 2021, with a countdown to midnight and singing of Auld Lang Syne. A special “Ring in the New Year” Zoom immediately follows with everyone invited.

WHAT WE DO
First Night Evanston is a family-friendly community Celebration of the Arts taking place on New Year's Eve since 1992.
This year because of Covid 19, First Night will again be hosting a virtual variety show celebration.
You can stay safe at home and still celebrate with Corky Siegel and all the performers we are lining up for our "Virtual Variety" show livestreamed on Mandolin.com.
First Night Evanston is a 501c3 non-profit Illinois corporation that relies on the generosity of local businesses, civic associations and individuals to keep this annual tradition alive.
First Night Evanston strives to make the event accessible, welcoming, and affordable.

This year's"Virtual Variety" show takes place on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2021, starting at 9:45 pm CST.
Corky Siegel will be back to host the "Virtual Variety" livestream concert. Corky will also perform a personal version of Auld Lang Syne with a countdown to midnight so we can virtually ring in the new year together.
