Corky Siegel & Friends

Our 2021 Virtual Concert

Evanston's community-wide 2021 New Year's Eve celebration was a virtual event with 17 performers hosted by Corky Siegel and his wife, Holly, from their home in Rogers Park..

Corky was joined by some amazing performances with the whole Chamber Blues ensemble, jazz saxophone icon Ernie Watts and bodacious diva Lynne Jordan. There was a wild blues harmonica/piano song about unity, corn, justice, bridges, lies, potatoes, and lots of love.

This from Corky...

"Celebrate the wringing out of the old year and the ringing in of the new year with me (Corky Siegel) - close up - as I welcome you into my home.  I want to spend this NYE with you and the FIRST NIGHT crowd – we will offer each other big hugs and have the time of our lives together.  And isn’t that what music is about? "   And it was.

Participation was easy and no one had to worry about the weather. Or worry about parking. Or even change clothes!  The audience enjoyed the concert in the comfort and safety of home.

Contributions from the audience along with tickets sales made it a successful evening for all.
