    ABOUT US >

Evanston's community-wide New Year's Eve event is back with a virtual event with Corky Siegel who will be performing from 10:00-12 and a bit after, to ring in the New Year with a signature performance of chamber blues on harmonica and piano. Ernie Watts on his saxophone and Lynne Jordan with her voice will join in.

The performance will be followed by a live conversation with Corky from his home joined by Ernie and Lynne and then all can join in singing Auld Lang Syne as we welcome 2021.

Please join us for an intimate experience of music, talent and community.

    WHAT WE DO

First Night Evanston is a family-friendly community Celebration of the Arts taking place on New Year's Eve since 1992.

This year because of covid 19 and the lockdown, First Night will be hosting a virtual celebration.

You can stay safe at home and still celebrate with Corky and the Chamber Blues ensemble and Ernie Watts on his saxophone and Lynne Jordan with her voice.

    OUR EVENT

First Night Evanston strives to make the event accessible, welcoming, and affordable--this year even more so with the pandemic. It's free. There is no ticket price but donations are much appreciated.

Thanks to Romano Wealth, Northwestern University, Kiwanis Club, and Byline Bank for their continued support.

Donations from our loyal audience will compensate the performers and help us build a reserve for next year's live event on 12/31/21.

The concert will begin at 10:00 p.m., followed by a live conversation with Corky and other performers.

At about 11:50, Corky will perform a personal version of Auld Land Syne with a countdown to midnight so we can virtually ring in the new year together.

Hooray for 2021--a new, NEW year for all of us.
